​​Goofy Foot Dog Rescue has partnered with the Carroll County Sheriff's Department and the Carroll County Jail to ease the overcrowding and overpopulation of companion animals in the West Tennessee area. Upon completion of the program, the animal will have developed the experiences and training to be placed into a forever home. The inmates will have learned life skills and obtained a certificate showing they've completed basic courses in grooming, vetting, training, and handling. The goal is to get animals into loving homes and give inmates skills that will allow them to enter the workforce and reduce the recidivism rate.
